Observation Run

Don't let the Turner's win another competition.  Please help your friends mount a challenge to Pete's observation domination.  The more of us, the better our odds......

Always an excellent day - test your brain, navigation and marriage.......

LEADERS :- ERNIE (0411 741 378) & SALLY (0413 514 287).

TIME :-  8.30am depart Loganholme Maccas.  Then proceed to the park @ Sylvan Rd, Toowong.

This run will vary slightly from last year’s format. Nothing to collect or observe, just Australiana Quizs (X 3) to complete and don’t get lost!

You will also have to time yourselves between stops and the winner will be the car that is closest to the Whittle’s dry run times. (No, not flat out all the way, Peter!). Minutes and seconds!!!!

Depart Macca’s Loganholme at 8.30am and cruise to the city via the M1. Onto Coronation Drive and ‘Toowong Memorial Park’ in Sylvan Rd , for driver briefing and to join Northsiders.

Then proceed via Waterworks Road to Mt Nebo and onto our first stop for Smoko (BYO PLEASE!) at the beautiful Mt. Glorious Park. Record your first time here and hand in Quiz 1 before we leave.

Now we go down the Western slope of the mountain and wind our way down to the Fernvale pub for lunch. Record second time here please and hand in Quiz 2 by end of lunch.

Good run down the motorway to finish at Stapylton/Jacob’s Well Maccas for a cuppa and to work out the winners. Record your final time here! Hand in Quiz 3 !

Total distance is 190km (approx), so it won’t be a Marathon for anyone.

Should finish 2pm approx.

Quiz questions may be answered on the way, or at the breaks. No domestic disputes please!

A Navigator is not essential for this run.

Maps will be supplied and a few extra details in your driver briefing.

ERNIE AND SALLY ASK ALL COMPETITORS TO ENTER INTO THE ‘SPIRIT’ OF THE DAY AND NOT GOOGLE FOR ANSWERS TO QUIZ QUESTIONS.  WE’RE NOT PLAYING FOR A SHEEPSTATION!!!

Gympie Skid Pan & Performax Tour Weekend

Keith is beside himself planning an exciting weekend at the Gympie Roadcraft Driver Education Centre Skidpan and a special tour of the Performax Conversion Facility.

The Roadcraft facility boasts more than a flat acre of beautifully smooth concrete that's fitted with waterperformax sprays so you can safely experience a complete loss of control without the worries of damaging your pride or pride 'n' joy!!!

We all know Performax as the leading Australian converter of LHD vehicles and look forward to experiencing the opportunity of touring through their state of the art facility and see how Corvettes, Mustangs, Camaro's and a range of 'pick-up's' are prepared for the Australian market.

Numbers will be strictly limited so be sure to contact Keith and reserve your place.

This will be a sleep over weekend package likely to include costs for the Roadcraft Centre, dinner, breakfast and accommodation - details to be provided as soon as arrangements are finalised.

You are permitted to carry a passenger during the driving element of the day so now you can really scare the better half......  this alone may be worth the nominal cost of this rarely available experience!

Pencil this date in your diary, it would be a shame to miss out on this awesome weekend!
