INDY VETTE SPRINTS

About forty Vettes turned up, of which about half competed. The rest of the cars were put on display for the general public to drool over. We ran the normal four events. There was an unusually high number of close finishes, which brought lots of applause from the crowd of spectators. The sun was out for most of the day, but there were a few sprinkles. There were a few members trying out their skills for the first time.

Lowlites:
Craig blew a transmission seal during a run, heaps of smoke and an oil trail back to the pits.
Wayne Martin mounts the median strip sideways. He hit the brake and the accelerator at the same time. He pulled up O.K.
Rob Warner supplied the steel fencing on a truck. He could not find any one to bring his Vette to the track, so he could not compete.

Highlites:
Gus and Craig Allen have their first competitive outing in their ‘85. Settled in easily, as though they had it for years.
Tammy knows how to peddle a vette real hard. She is good.
Beanie is gob smacked when his passenger goes topless. His driving becomes slow and erotic. ( Erratic? Ecstatic? John, I wish you would improve your writing - Ed)
Tony Lowe (IFS) donates a Vette clock to the raffle to raise funds for the Endeavour Foundation.

Thanks Tony. Appreciated efforts from brad, Richard, David, Gus, Craig, Tanya, Tony, Sue, Stan, Sallyanne, Col, Dougzie, Sandy, Krusty and Rob and anyone else who assisted in any capacity to make the day the success that it was.
