Friday Night Dinner - 14 November 2008.  Hogan's Wellington Point Hotel

Ali came up with the idea, lets go a bit north and a bit east for dinner this month.  Hogan's at Wellington Point was voted as our place of attack.

Bugger me again if we didn't have the hugest crowd for some while on a Friday nite.  Everyone must have thought it was a good idea as well, all 33 of us.  Starting out from the usual meeting point at the Hyperdome, the convoy, led by one very smart ZR1, headed up the highway to meet the more local members at the venue.  The usual lead changing and lane hopping characteristics went on to keep the 40 min trip enjoyable and before we knew it, we joining in with the rest of our members.

We didn't realise though, it was going to be a night for various celebrations.  A birthday party for editor Keith was a good excuse for a sing along but the previous editor not to be outdone, and with Ali's help, announced his engagement to Sue. ( Lucky I'm not the editor, too competitive!)

A good excuse for a drink, and also needed to wash down the scrumptious steaks and assortment of fine foods.  You were right Jaimes, not a bad pumpkin sauce.

The night finished with coffee and birthday cake and some of us working out the bucks party for Al.  Half way home a bit of rain started so I left the C3 in the fine hands of Ern and Sal and they very kindly donated the ZR1.  Much to Ern's disappointment I had to convince him it was just temporary and we would have to swap back, and also, I have since come out of the closet, yes I do admit, I like white now!!!!

As normal, cant wait for the next one,
Pete and Ali Turner
