You have just followed a secret link to view photos taken by our super keen members who turned out for the postponed Chevy Super Sunday trial run in July 2008. Chevy Super Sunday July 2008
I arrived at the venue and wondered why
there were only a few cars. On the closed gate was a sign,
"event closed due to inclement weather---will now be on Sunday 31
August."
A few cars were parked inside the teacher's
car park and I saw Bob Mihill, we chatted for a while and more cars
turned up---most people missed the message on the gate and just thought
that the turn-out was really poor. I stayed for 2 hours and 7
other vettes turned up (not members) we all chatted for a while then
went home.
This was just a practice for the real event. All Chev's are welcome and it's always a great day. Remember to bring your hat, a chair, sun screen, cool drinks and pocket money for the parts market.
Cheers
Mike
Chevy Super Sunday will be held on Sunday 31st August, at the Eight Mile Plains State School, Warrigal Road, Eight Mile Plains. Chevs of all vintages may be entered for display or judging with lots of great trophies to win. Food & drinks are available and there is always a great parts market for all of your Chev bits and pieces. While this is not a Queensland Corvette Club event, quite a few members enter into the day and we always receive great feedback. |
