Friday Night Dinner - 7th August 2009 - The Spice Avenue "Balti" Sixteen patrons enjoyed an excellent UK Indian dinner at the famous Balti Restaurant, Birkdale, in bayside Redland Shire. Nothing like a hot curry to warm the tummy on a cool winter's evening.  Great to see the Corvettes out on a Friday night and especially Pete & Ali's Tiger Shark, back in one piece. Sue entertained the children by popping her puppies out for a feed after the meal.  No!, she is fostering a pair of one week old pups that require regular feeds to help them grow big and strong.  Thanks Sue, for letting us all have a pat. President Pete was in fine form with Ernie throwing the straight lines.  Jaimes behaved right through until desert, then slipped and wore a chocolate brownie Sunday down the front of his shirt, while Geoff and Carolee provided an education in the art of eating a beautiful Indian meal with a full table of accompaniments. Thank goodness Brad & Sandy came to balance the books at the end of the night, maybe Sandy should have raised her had for the treasurers position - did a top job and came out ten bucks in-front!!! As always, the staff and chefs looked after our group wonderfully and we all enjoyed a great evening of catching up. Jaimes
