Friday the 10th saw 18 of us make the trip from the usual Hyperdome meeting place, down the M1 to Helensvale Rd. and set ourselves up for a scrumptious Italian feed at the "Via Roma" Restaurant in Monterey Keys.

Ribs, pasta and pizza were the main choices, Brad and myself getting the rather large feed of Brontosaurus Ribs. Peter and Cynthia Frey joined us and were entertained by our eating habits. A lot of talk over dinner directed to Allen and Sue regarding their wedding arrangements were settled, think they'll have Corvette wedding cars, Ernie wants white but I think red is more trendy.  Geoff started to drink wine at this stage as we thought he'd had enough beer and as the night unfolded he started deteriorating.  Unlike Dave, who likes beer, did the responsible thing and designated Barb to drive home.

When we had all finished our main course, it was back to our River Downs home as my "catering officer," Ali and our kids had spent the day in her new kitchen preparing a feast of deserts for all to admire and enjoy.  Sticky Date, Apple Pie, Spiced Pear Cake, Chocolate Roulet, Choc Chip Cookies and Cheese Platters were lining the servery, well done honey.

The worst thing was, besides John (Webro) on the piano, was that I had to open the bar to complement the desert feast, Port, Baileys, Wine and Coffees began to flow to finish us off, as did the stories and jokes with the boys at the bar and the girls and Brad around the kitchen.

Speaking of finishing off, it did for Geoff and at midnight Carolee elected to drive him home.  16 people for desert is the most we've had in this new house, Ali says "think we need to start some reno's for more room", bewdy.  As usual a great feed & company and self entertainment,
