Well the gods were looking favourably upon us and as the sun rose over Broadwater Park, us early set up members knew it was going to be an exceptional day.  We were correct and no-one was disappointed with the venue's outlook, having the coast to the east, high risers to the west, Surfers to the south and Brissy to the north but best of all nearly 60 Corvettes in the middle, who could have anything but an exciting day.

With the science fair on one side and children's park the other the through traffic of pedestrians were never ending, especially when Laurie fired up the 63 drag car.  Russell and Ben from Shannon's were chatting all day as were Kevin and Glen from Performax and most said that the social aspect is what made the day so appealing.

Thanks to the 10 cars from CDUCC who also set out early to join us, and as you will see in the results some went home rewarded with trophies.

The quality of the cars presented was outstanding and made the judges decisions very hard with the top 4 cars only having 4 points between them.  I opened the doors of both my Vettes for a while allowing people to sit in and take photo's, the comments of how nice all the cars are etc and how appreciative people are to be able to share what we love, reminded me not to take for granted what we have !!!
