President's Report (December 2003)

The December meeting was small, but those that attended enjoyed the nibbles beforehand, followed by a reasonably quick meeting allowing us a longer than usual chit chat. Congratulations to the winners of the Xmas Hampers.

By now it should be the New Year, hope you have all survived and are ready for another exciting year with the Club. The Committee is now planning our runs and events for 2004, so if you have any good ideas please let us know so that we can pencil them in, also we could use anything of interest Corvette related for our Vetteletter or the Website. Our 1st major event is the Hot Rod Show; we are looking for ideas for the display and also a committee to carry these through. There will also be discussions on our Annual Concourse in the coming months.

The Melbourne Convention is expected to be rather large, hope you have booked and if you would like to transport your Vette we have a price list further on in this Vetteletter. Once you have been to a Convention you won’t be able to stop, it’s value for money ask any member who has been to them, and you will see what enthusiasm they have for this up coming event at Easter.

2004 should be a good year, new events, new runs and new social outings, by supporting your club and committee with new ideas will help to make these events more enjoyable.
