President's Report
(July 2009)
Hi to all members and
your families.
Apologizes
from myself and Lorna for not being at the July meeting and also
Friday Night out to Monterey Keys, I have a 6mm kidney stone and
have not passed it to date, lot of pain and water.
Lorna has had the flu in this time but recovering (No
flowers required for either of us).
Life goes on but we will both be at the August A.G.M., so
hope to see you all there.
Lorna and I are standing down this year, making space for
new blood and new ideas to keep our great club alive.
Please fill in your nomination form as soon as possible
and return it before the 5th August by
6.00 p.m.
Unfortunately
we got rained off in June with our Concourse but it will happen
on 16th August when the sun will be out.
All members that have pre-paid, your money is safe.
By the time
you read this we will have had our Xmas in July, we are all
looking forward to this event with 32 people attending (Theme –
Who Killed Santa ?).
We will all let you know at August meeting who did it.
Big August
coming up – A.G.M. Meeting, Ormeau Fair, Mustang Concourse,
Coomera Custom Car Show, Ipswich Car Show, Breakfast Run on the
Gold Coast and Sunday at the Tait’s.
Lots to do and fun for all.
Some of us
attended the Down Under Concourse at Southbank on 12th
July and had a great day out.
Our Club won some very nice trophies on the day namely,
Keith Hosking, yours truly Bob Mihill, Ray Doyle and
Andrew Kleinhans to name a few.
We all had the best time with sun all day, there were
over 80 very nice cars on display.
We told a lot of the Corvette
owners about our Concourse and they should all be coming, so
bring on the sun and a fantastic day out.
This is my
last President’s Report, but I would like to take this
opportunity to thank all the Committee for making my job run so
smoothly and open my eyes to what good friends Lorna and I have
in our wonderful Club.
That’s all
for now.
Go Drive your Dream –
You’re only here once.
Bob Mihill
