President's Report  (June 2009)

Hi to all members and your families.

Sorry that the President’s Run was cancelled at the last moment, Lorna and I did the run the week before and found that the road was closed going up the mountain due to trees and large boulders over the roadway.  We had re-scheduled the observation run for Sept 27th.

All those that attended the Wintersun Parade had an enjoyable time.  Thank you John and Sue for organising the day.

Our Friday night run to the Thai Restaurant at Ormeau was a great success with 20 people enjoying the fantastic food and good company.

We are keeping our fingers crossed for fine weather for our Concourse at Surfers Paradise, all has been put in place for a great day out.

July is looking good with Friday Night Dinner July 10th Italian Style at Monterey Keys, please let Alison and Peter know if you will be attending (Phone 0403 015 770).

Corvettes Down Under have their Concourse on July 12th at Southbank, open to all corvette enthusiasts.

July 25th and 26th – Xmas in July “Who Killed Santa” is looking very interesting, a nice and cold weekend at Marburg, this venue is near Ipswich in the hills.   We have 14 couples so far and there is still room for more to come and have a fantastic time, so let Peter or Ernie know if you would like to enjoy this experience (details as per magazine).

There are more runs in July to Ipswich, Logan Fun Run, Rally at Pimpama – all details as per magazine and website.

That’s all for now.

Go Drive your Dream – You’re only here once.
